Aircraft

You will be presenting an aircraft to the inspector in which the examination will take place. This may be a rented aircraft or your own aircraft. If it is a rented aircraft, you are not responsible for the maintenance being done but you are responsible for assuring that all of the required maintenance is completed and properly signed off prior to using it on a flight. Mastering those requirements and having them logically presented to the Examiner will also shorten your checkride.

A proper preflight prior to the Examiners arrival assures that the Examination will continue. Attention to detail is paramount. Making sure the aircraft is fueled adequately for a 3 hour flight plus reserves prior to the Examiners arrival also helps to keep the process moving. It is also important to have a plan B for checkride day as well. If something is found on your planned aircraft that makes it ineligible, are there other aircraft available to continue the checkride?
