Getting Organized

Initial stages of the Practical Test can be time consuming. This is because the examiner is required to assure that you and the aircraft are eligible for the practical test to take place. In your case, credentials, logbook times and endorsements must all be checked prior to beginning the exam. All of the required aircraft documents and proof of required inspections will also have to be verified and the net result is, this takes a lot of time.

If all of the required information is organized in a logical sequence, it greatly reduces the time you spend with the Examiner. Know what flight times are required to be eligible for the exam and have those items tagged in your logbook or electronic record. Knowing what aircraft documents and inspections are required to make your aircraft legal and showing those to the Examiner with confidence will definitely shorten your experience while building an impression you know what you are doing.
